Dr. Shieh-Yueh Yang finished PhD program of Physics at National Taiwan Normal University in 1999. The topic of his PhD thesis is fabrication and characterization of HTS step-edge SQUIDs. As a postdoctoral fellow at Academia Sinica, Dr. Yang worked on magnetic nanoparticles and magnetic fluid. In 2003, he served as an assistant professor at Institute of Electro-optical Science and Technology, National Taiwan Normal University. Dr. Yang integrated HTS SQUID magnetometer and biofunctionalized magnetic nanoparticles for developing ultra-sensitive assays of biomolecules. He promoted to be an associate professor in 2007. In 2008, Dr. Yang quit the faculty position and started up the company, MagQu Co., Ltd. One of the main products with MagQu is the HTS-SQUID-based assay system for neurodegenerative biomarkers in human plasma.
